How to Play
Overview
Duel Grid is a strategy duel where you place a small team of buildings on your grid, then watch them battle your opponent's buildings automatically.
Game Modes
- Play: Find another player online.
- Practice (vs. CPU): Learn the game against a computer opponent.
- View Buildings: Preview building shapes and stats.
How a Match Works
- Place your buildings: Arrange your buildings before the timer runs out.
- Combat starts: Your opponent's board is revealed, and all buildings attack automatically.
- Win the duel: Destroy all enemy buildings, or have more buildings alive when combat ends.
Controls
- Pick a building: Click or tap a building in the bottom bar.
- Place it: Move it onto your grid and click, tap, or release to place it.
- Rotate: Use the rotate buttons, or press Q and E on keyboard.
- Move a placed building: Click or tap one of your placed buildings during placement, then place it again.
- Check stats: Select a building to see its health, damage, and attack speed.
Placement Tips
- Buildings cannot overlap or hang off the edge of the grid.
- If you run out of time, unplaced buildings will be placed for you automatically.
- Use rotation to fit awkward shapes into stronger positions.
Elements
Elements matter in combat. A good matchup deals more damage, while a bad matchup deals less.
- Water is strong against Fire.
- Fire is strong against Earth.
- Earth is strong against Water.
Winning
- Destroy all of your opponent's buildings to win.
- If combat ends before either side is destroyed, the player with more buildings still standing wins.
- If both players have the same number of buildings standing, the match is a draw.
